01Problem

One language for print, stage and feed.

Organizers needed a single visual system that held together across a printed program, a stage screen and a social post — with volunteers editing the files days before showtime.

That last constraint shaped everything. A system only the designer can operate fails the week it is actually needed.

02Collaboration

Client meetings, FigJam, faculty critique.

This ran as a studio engagement inside ASU's GIT agency cohort — standing client meetings, shared FigJam boards, and critiques that kept feedback visible to the whole team rather than trapped in one inbox.

Layer names and folder structure were part of the deliverable, so organizers always knew which file was current.

03Pattern

A branch in the logo became the whole system.

Starting from the branch detail already in the approved logo, I used AI to explore vine-like structures quickly, picked the strongest directions, then redrew everything by hand into a repeatable asset.

The AI drafts were references only. The shipping art is hand-tuned so tessellation and contrast survive both fabric and screens.

04Design

Safe zones a volunteer can't accidentally break.

Two-color print defaults, legible social crops, and slide masters non-designers could trust — with safe zones drawn so a sponsor mark can't be dragged into the trim.

Constraints were the design work here as much as the pattern was.

05Deliver

Bundled by milestone, not by file type.

Bleed-ready PDFs and labeled template layers, grouped the way the event actually runs — promo, week-of print, day-of social — rather than sorted by format.

The result is one coherent look on stage and online, and next year's team inherits the same structure instead of starting over.
